Terms of Use

These terms explain the rules and restrictions that apply when you access or use AvaDebt.

Last updated: June 20, 2026

1. What AvaDebt is

AvaDebt is a budgeting, debt payoff, savings, goal planning, and transaction organization tool. It helps users enter, import, categorize, and review financial information. AvaDebt is not a bank, lender, credit union, financial advisor, tax advisor, attorney, credit repair company, or credit counseling agency.

2. No professional advice

AvaDebt may show calculations, estimates, suggested next steps, debt payoff targets, spending categories, and goal projections. These are planning tools only. Users are responsible for checking their own numbers and making their own financial decisions. Users should consult qualified professionals for financial, legal, tax, lending, credit, or debt advice.

3. Accounts and security

Users must provide accurate account information, keep login credentials secure, and notify AvaDebt if they believe their account has been accessed without permission. AvaDebt may offer optional security features such as multi-factor authentication. Users are responsible for activity that occurs through their account unless caused by AvaDebt's own failure to use reasonable security practices.

4. Authorized professional access

Users may choose to share AvaDebt information with a financial professional, counselor, coach, educator, tax professional, attorney, lender, nonprofit organization, or other person they authorize (an "Authorized Professional"). This may happen by showing an account, exporting information, sharing reports, or using any professional-access feature AvaDebt makes available. By authorizing access or sharing information, users authorize AvaDebt to make that information available as directed. Users are responsible for deciding who to share with, reviewing what that person can see, and limiting or ending access when controls are available. AvaDebt is not responsible for advice, services, decisions, or actions provided by any third party a user authorizes.

5. User data and accuracy

Users are responsible for reviewing all income, expense, debt, savings, imported transaction, account balance, and goal information. Imported data may be delayed, incomplete, duplicated, miscoded, unavailable, or different from a bank or lender's official records. AvaDebt calculations should not be treated as official account statements, payoff quotes, tax records, or lender decisions.

6. Bank connections and imports

AvaDebt may use third-party providers such as Plaid to help users connect financial accounts or import transactions. Connection availability depends on the financial institution and provider support. Users should not share bank usernames or passwords directly with AvaDebt outside approved secure connection flows.

7. Subscription, trial, and renewal

AvaDebt Individual is planned as a paid subscription with monthly and annual billing options. A 14-day trial may be offered. Unless canceled before the trial ends, the subscription may automatically renew and charge the payment method on file according to the plan selected at checkout. The checkout page and Stripe billing portal control the final price, billing period, trial end date, renewal date, and payment method details.

8. Cancellation and refunds

Users should be able to cancel online through the billing portal. Cancellation stops future renewals but may not automatically refund charges already processed. Unless a different refund is required by law or clearly stated at checkout, fees are generally non-refundable after a paid billing period begins. Access may continue until the end of the current trial or paid billing period.

9. Acceptable use

Users may not misuse AvaDebt, attempt to access another user's account, interfere with security features, upload harmful content, reverse engineer the service, use the service for unlawful activity, or use the service in a way that could harm AvaDebt, other users, or service providers.

10. Availability and changes

AvaDebt may change features, pricing, subscription terms, integrations, providers, or availability over time. AvaDebt may suspend or limit access for security, abuse prevention, nonpayment, maintenance, legal reasons, or violations of these terms.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, AvaDebt is provided as-is and as-available. AvaDebt does not guarantee that calculations, imports, recommendations, savings targets, debt payoff estimates, or account balances will be error-free or fit a user's circumstances. AvaDebt is not responsible for financial losses caused by user decisions, incorrect user-entered data, third-party provider outages, institution data issues, or reliance on estimates.

12. Contact

Questions about these terms, billing, account access, cancellation, privacy, or support can be sent through the contact page.
